News and Announcements:

January newsletter posted.

Dear Friends of the Quantico Yacht Club

The QYC needs your help.  Below is a link to an online survey about the QYC that we hope you will take a few minutes to complete.  The purpose of this survey is to answer the following primary question,

“How can the Quantico Yacht Club become more relevant to its members, potential members and to the military community it has served since 1935?”

In other words, we want to be able to point the QYC in a direction that ensures its mission, vision and goals are aligned with the needs of its members and to the military boating community at Quantico.  Your answers to this survey will help us to ensure QYC relevance to all its stakeholders.

Here is the link to the survey:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3QSV788

The survey is anonymous and will take only 10 minutes to complete.  Each adult in your home is welcome to take the survey separately if you so choose; however, the survey will close 31 January 2012. So, please complete the survey as soon as you can find the time.

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this important step forward for the QYC.  Your help will be instrumental in shaping the QYC of the future.

Fair Winds,

Quantico Yacht Club Strategic Planning Committee

Meetings the second Friday of every month 7:30 P.M.

The QYC is a non-profit, type III organization operating under the authority of the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Most of us are boat owners, both sail and power, large and small, few yachts actually, and some members do not own a boat.  All active duty and retired service members, and other authorized MCCS patrons are eligible for membership in the QYC.  The club sponsors sailing races, holiday weekend cruises, and a fall crab feast. On race days, some boats are short of crew members and in need of volunteers. It is easy to participate even if you know nothing about the sport. Contact Ray Boisvert, rdboisvert@comcast.net, to arrange to crew.
