1 September 2005.  Perspective member Jimmy Clark installed second thermostat to permit independent operations of the units.  The Fleet Captain did an OT of the systems. 

27 August 2005:  Member Todd Rodgers and former member Jimmy Clark joined the Fleet Captain, Robert Lang, to diagnose the problem with the main meeting room air conditioner.  The unit is sound but was low on Freon (low but not empty).  We fully charged the back unit with Freon and it is operational.

20 August 2005:  The Fleet Captain wired power to the riverside air handler as the back unit for the main meeting room quit working. Other member joined to do other tasks:  Cliff Roy hung windows treatments, The Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert hung pictures and paintings, and Don Radeke hung other club burgees.

19 August 2005:  Members Cliff and Sandy Roy, given assistance from our Secretary Sam Gooding and other members Sandy Huizenga and Karen Crouch, with supplies from Lowe’s, painted the main meeting room’s 28x33’ ceiling and the walls.

13 August 2005:  The Fleet Captain Robert Lang and member Pete Janss relocated upper cabinet above microwave counter, to be the standard 54” height from floor. 

6 August 2005:  The Fleet Captain Robert Lang back filled the recently mounted ceiling panel, allowing a permanent, flush mounting with the adjacent panels.  NO MORE HOLE IN CEILING!  Also, removed dunnage from NEW COUNTER TOPS.

30 July 2005:  The Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and member Pete Janss organize the pantry and remove excess, surplus, and trash materials.

27 July 2005:  Member Don Radeke opens club to take delivery of the main pass-through counter top.

23 July:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, with the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and member Pete Janss apply ant spray on the pillars and frame under the QYC and spread crystal-like ant bait around the exterior of the club.  Installed new filter for A/C unit.  

20 July 2005:  The Fleet Captain Robert Lang and member Don Radeke take delivery of “L-shaped” and “microwave” counters.  Pass-through counter arrived damaged and the shipper returned it for replacement. 

16 July:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, worked fine drywall adjustments near the wet bar, in the kitchen, and by the back door. 

9 July:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, with the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and members Pete Janss and Don Radeke mount ceiling panels, and additional drywall in men’s head, worked drywall near the wet bar, and thawed out the A/C unit, removed clogged air filter.

2 July 2005:  The Commodore, the Fleet Captain, and many members sailed or motored to Cole’s Point Marina and celebrated Independence Day.

25 June 2005: The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, with the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and member Pete Janss, attached two additional 4x4 posts, rails, and balusters to the north end of the QYC.  We anticipate doing the same to the south facing ladder on the deck during July.

18 June 2005: The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, with the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and members Pete Janss attached the stairs and one 4x4 post.  Member Don Radeke worked on burgee board.  Cliff and Sandy Roy, anticipating Father’s Day, worked to prepare the club for the event.

11 June 2005:  Workday cancelled due to FCC.

4 June 2005:  The Commodore, Mike Crouch, with the Fleet Captain Bob Lang, and members Pete Janss, Phil Rodgers, Don Radeke, replaced wall panels on front and back sides of main meeting room.

28 May 2005.  Memorial Day weekend.  No work scheduled.

21 May 2005:  The Quantico Yacht Club, with the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, hosted the Annual Kid’s Cup Regatta.  There was no work scheduled for this day.

14 May 2005:  Commodore Mike Crouch, with the Fleet Captain Bob Lang and son Tylor Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Jerry Saggers, Pete Janss, Phil Rodgers, Don Radeke, Richard Hansen, and Larry Huizenga continued trim, painting, as well sheetrock work.

7 May 2005:  Fleet Captain Bob Lang, with members Pete Janss and Ross Horton, prepared pavilion area for Mother’s Day and added interior trim. 

30 April 2005:  Commodore Mike Crouch, with the Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Jerry Saggers, Mike Fallon, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Don Radeke, and Richard Hansen and Larry and Sandy Huizenga, continued sheetrock and baluster work.

23 April 2005:  Commodore Mike Crouch, with the Vice Commodore Casey Saggers, Treasurer Sam Gooding, Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Jerry and Chris Saggers, Mike Fallon, Ross Horton, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Don Radeke, Phil Rodgers, and renewing member Richard Hansen continued sheetrock and baluster work.
 
16 April 2005:  Commodore Mike Crouch, Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Jerry and Chris Saggers, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Don Radeke, Phil Rodgers, and Ed Wright, replace rotten door header, mount balusters, start pass through sheetrock, raise the flagpole, and hung cabinets.

10 April 2005:  Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Pete Janss mount deck rail posts.

9 April 2005:  Commodore Mike Crouch joined by cast and supporting crew to assemble galley cabinets, with the Vice Commodore Casey Saggers, Fleet Captain Bob Lang and Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, members Jerry, Chris, and Cheryl Saggers who rerouted kitchen lights, framed the pass-through, and painted and mudded as needed.

29 January 2005:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang and Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert install sink and commode in men’s head. 

15 January 2005:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, install power and waterlines for hot water heater. 

20 November 2004:  [Date estimated].  Member Mike Triggs installs new HAV thermostat.

6 November 2004:  Cheryl Saggers and others (please identify who else) separated the treasure from trash of the materials salvaged from Isabel.

30 October 2004:  Fleet Captain Robert Lang, and member Doug Humston fabricated stout aluminum plate for Cypher (brand) electric bolt and screwed down final deck.
23 October 2005:  Clubhouse is available 24/7.  Cypher (brand) lock is installed and working!  

16 October 2004:  Treasurer Mike Crouch, Fleet Captain Bob Lang, and Members Pete Janss and other (not identified) work on Cypher (brand) lock and screw down all but final length of deck.

9 October 2004:  Holiday weekend.  No planned work.  Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Members Doug Humston and Pete Janss, and a friend, Nelson Francisco work on sewage lines and screwed down another two lengths of deck.

2 October 2004:  Commodore Ed Wright was aboard as was the Fleet Captain, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Ross Horton.  We moved building supplies to the storeroom, executive room, and pavilion.  Screwed down another two lengths of deck.

25 September 2004:  The Fleet Captain Bob Lang, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Ross Horton, we continue the installation of the deck surface, put the trim on to finish the day room, and hung cabinets in the pantry.

21 September 2004:  Vice Commodore Bill Gooding and the Fleet Captain Robert Lang grouted the floor and reset the fixtures in the women’s restroom.

20 September 2004:  Vice Commodore Bill Gooding and the Fleet Captain Robert Lang set the tile for the women’s restroom.

19 September 2004:  Vice Commodore Bill Gooding floated quick set to prepare the women’s and men’s heads for tile.

18 September 2004:  Yes, it is ONE YEAR SINCE ISABEL DUMPED ON US.  Thus it was a good day with ONLY A TROPICAL DEPRESSION IVAN over the NOVA region dumping rain.  The Treasurer Mike Crouch, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Nelson Pacheco, Ross Horton, and with a special cameo appearance of Mike Fallon, did interior paint, spackling, and trim work.

11 September 2004:  With the Fleet Captain, the Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Mr. Marty Betts continue to screw down the deck surface and installed the sink and commode in the women’s restroom.  Trash removed from club and grounds by Tylor Lang.  The QYC was again cleaned for the afternoon crab-feast.

10 September 2005:  Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert worked on interior plumbing.  Member Phil Rodgers mowed the grass with his “Bush-Hogg” and cleaned-up construction debris in preparation of the crab feast.

4 September 2004:  No planned work.  Member Pete Janss did some interior painting.  Mr. Marty Betts brought doughnuts and helped with interior clean-up.  Fleet Captain ran cold water line into the club.

28 August 2004:  With Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Ross Horton, Mr. Marty Betts -- who also brought doughnuts -- and with the Fleet Captain present, screwed down another 1/3 of the deck.

21 August 2004:  With Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Tom Omri, and Ross Horton, the Fleet Captain screwed down 1/3 of the deck.

14 August 2004:  Aboard with the Treasurer, Mike Crouch, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert led Members Mike Triggs, Larry Huizenga, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Ross Horton in laying out water lines and trimming out pantry.

7 August 2004:  Commodore at helm inside the club with members Sandy Huizenga, and Sam Gooding who prepared the club for the next meeting.  Fleet Captain and Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert worked with members Bill Walker and his son Jim Walker, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Ross Horton completed the layout of the deck surface.

17 July 2004:  Led by Fleet Captain.  Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and Members Doug Humston, Pete Janss, and Ross Horton salvaged 2x6 timbers and 2X12 steel truss for QYC use.

10 July 2004:  Led by Fleet Captain.  Members Ross Horton and Doug Humston leveled deck posts and began salvage of steel truss.

3 July 2004:  THREE-DAY WEEKEND and the crews are taking the day off.

20 - 21 April 2004:  M&B Mobile Trailer moved, blocked, and leveled the new facility.  Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert assisted to document start.

17 April 2004:  The Vice Commodore and Mrs. Gooding, the Fleet Captain, and Members Larry Huizenga, Doug Humston, Ross Horton, Marty Betts, Pete Janss, Phil Rodgers, and Ted Bogosh started the initial layout of the new facility.

14 April 2004:  Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert and Member Pete Janss assisted the Fleet Captain to bring the building halves to the QYC Site.

10 April 2004:  The Fleet Captain brought the shingles, compressor, and coiled roofing gun.  Doug Humston, Bob Harris, and Bill Walker put new shingles on the pitched roof.  Marty Betts brought coffee and loaded the old shingles onto the truck for disposal.  Thanks to Marine MGySgt Raymond Ifill for the power.

13 March 2004:  Moved our pitch roof to the new location freeing space we need to bring in our new facility.  The Fleet Captain directed the work with Mike Fallon running the crane.  Commodore Ed Wright, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Ross Horton, Doug Humston, Pete Janss, Tom Omri, Nelson Pacheco, Ted Rowan, and Cliff Roy pitched in.  One more time, thanks to member Marty Betts for coffee and donuts.  Also, thanks to Marine MGySgt Raymond Ifill for the power.  Special note to former Member Johannes Morgenstern who designed the roof to withstand three hurricanes, 30 years, and our abuse to move it.

28 February 2004:  Thank you Jerry Saggers for the tractor.  With the Fleet Captain, we did a thorough clean-up of the remaining debris, filling the third of our five containers.  The Fleet Captain chaired the day with Commodore Ed Wright, Vice Commodore Ann Sooby, Treasurer Mike Crouch, Secretary Mike Fallon, Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, and members Randy Corey, Bill Gooding, Bob Harris, Doug Humston, Tom Omri, Nelson Pacheco, Jerry Saggers, Cliff Roy, and Don Radeke pitching in.  Again, special thanks to member Marty Betts for coffee and donuts.  Also, our thanks to Marine MGySgt George Martinez for the power.

24 January 2004:  Led by Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, with Treasurer Mike Crouch, and members Jerry Saggers, Ross Horton, Don Radeke, Larry Huizenga, Bill Gooding, and Doug Humston - continued removing roofs and sides of the trailers.

17 January 2004:  Led by Racing Rear Commodore Ray Boisvert, with members Jerry Saggers, Ross Horton, and Phil Rogers.  Secured two sets of temporary steps, backfilled new roof poles, began trailer roof removal.
